Rocketlink acquires and operates digital commerce companies across Europe. As an M&A Analyst on the Vienna strategy team, you will source acquisition targets, model their economics, and help take deals from first conversation to close. You'll work directly with leadership on roughly 20 to 30 evaluations and several closes per year, across the firm's six sector themes: payment orchestration, acquiring and PSP, subscriptions, performance marketing, vertical B2B SaaS, and agentic commerce.
What you'll do
- Build and qualify a continuous pipeline of acquisition targets through outbound, broker channels, and proprietary research.
- Run valuation, scenario, and structuring models in close partnership with the corporate finance team.
- Drive due diligence end to end across financial, commercial, technical, and legal workstreams, working with our advisors and portfolio operators.
- Author the deal memos that feed leadership and investment-committee decisions.
- Stay across the European commerce and fintech landscape; surface new investment angles.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 3 years in M&A, investment banking, private equity, transaction services, or corporate development at a commerce or fintech business.
- Strong financial modelling fluency in Excel; comfortable building three-statement models, accretion and dilution, and LBO-style return analyses from a blank sheet.
- Sharp commercial judgement; able to read a P&L and form a view on the underlying business in under an hour.
- Comfort with fast, parallel deal cycles where speed to conviction matters.
- Genuine curiosity about digital commerce, payments, and software-as-a-service.
